What’s your Rebid?

Bidding when opponents interfere

Try not to let opponents steal your contract when they overcall at a low level. If the bidding has come back to you as opener, it’s fine for you to pass, even if partner has changed suit. This is because after interference, partner will always have a second chance to make a bid. When opponents overcall it’s all too easy to just give up and pass.

If you have no obvious suit or NT bid, it’s always worth thinking about a takeout double to find the partnership’s best fit.
