Bidding to the Level of your Fit

When partner opens the bidding or makes an overcall, with a weak hand and a good suit, think about bidding to the level of your fit, rather than counting your HCP. With a long trump fit you can often collect lots of tricks and make the contract. If the contract goes down it's likely to have been a good sacrifice, getting you a better score than if opponents had won and made their contract.  Take a look at this example hand.
