Stayman: No Shortage - no Stayman
Don't bid Stayman if you hold a 4:3:3:3 shape
We learn to bid Stayman (2C) when we hold a 4-card major and partner opens in NT. When we have a very flat hand with little chance for ruffing extra tricks, it is usually better to play in a NT contract. Such hands tend to make the same number of tricks in NT as in 4 of a major, earning us a higher score.
