Lesson 12 :Opening 2C

When you have a very strong hand with 23+ High Card Points and you want to avoid your partner passing with fewer than 6 points, then use the 2C opening bid. This is an artificial bid which informs partner about the strength you hold and forces them to make a responding bid.  With one exception, the 2C bid is forcing to game, so bidding continues until a game or slam contract is reached.
